![]() ![]() ![]() You can use whatever wine cooler you want, but you just need to adjust the dimensions for the wine cooler cabinet.Pine wood is the cheapest and easiest to work with but if you want a sturdier wine caddy, go with oak.I might even say it's been my favorite project to date! But either way I loved how this wine cooler cabinet turned out. Honestly the only thing I might have changed was making one side have wine shelves the whole way up so it could hold even more wine as I don't need a ton of hanging wine glass shelves. The only thing I changed was being a little lazy and just buying a ready-made board that was wide enough for the top of the wine cooler cabinet instead of gluing a bunch of 1x4s together. Again as I mentioned earlier, I didn't do a great job of taking step-by-step pictures but his instructions are very detailed. When browsing the internet there really aren't that many options that fit this category, however Saws on Skates plans were exactly what I was looking for. Needless to say we were racking up quite a few more bottles than we were drinking! So I set out to build a wine cooler cabinet that could not only house all of our red wine, but have a fridge for our white wine as well. Then we went on a vacation earlier this year to California and stopped at quite a few wineries in Sonoma County. The problem was we became members of Old Westminster Winery and started collecting wine. No I did not make it as this was before I really got into woodworking! And for quite some time, it served its purposes as it held around eight bottles of wine. For the longest time we had a wine rack that was made out of an old pallet. If you follow this blog at all, you know that Lauren and I love our wine! I've even posted a few different wine caddy plans. Part of the problem is as I'm building something I forget to take pictures for the step-by-step process like 75% of the time, which then obviously makes it much harder to do step-by-step instructions! Today however, I used instructions for this wine refrigerator cabinet from a blog I came across on Pinterest, Saws on Skates. I'm not going to lie I've gotten into a rhythm posting recipes and find it a little harder to write about what I build. I actually have built a few things for some coworkers, but just haven't found the time yet to write a post about it. So it's been quite a while since I posted something that I built. This wine cooler cabinet is for the wine lovers that want a piece of furniture to house not only their wine and wine glasses, but a wine fridge as well. ![]()
